Rugby World Cup 2019: Wales training attracts 15,000 in Japan

A crowd of over 15,000 people watched Wales’ training session at Japan for its Rugby World Cup.
Queues stretching over a kilometre started building up three hours prior to the in Kitakyushu Stadium.
The local population and the Wales team have embraced, playing with the Welsh national anthem along with the hymn Calon L??n since Warren Gatland’s squad undertook their first work out.
Wales’ opening game in Pool D is against Georgia on 23 September.

Rugby World Cup organisers said that the audience of 15,300 had been the biggest ever at the Kitakyushu Stadium and Jones had been overwhelmed:”I’ve never experienced anything like this in my own career. It is astonishing and it’s been emotional.
“It has been like hosting a party,” he explained. “We got up this morning and we were saying’oh, I hope it goes well today and individuals will develop’. Then and to see the temptations to see the players’ faces when they came out, it was simply magic.
“It has exceeded all our expectations. However, what has really warmed my heart is the fact that it has shown strong Welsh rugby’s brand is. People know it’s us, they adore the colour red, but also powerful is.
“The fantasy was to turn the city red and we have achieved that. They weren’t a host city and we needed to attract them the Rugby World Cup.
“It is great since the men are just one week out from our very first game and to have an adventure like this bring it home how amazing an event it really is. It’ll give the players a massive lift.”
