Los Angeles FC striker Carlos Vela hit on a hat-trick against Colorado Rapids to break the Major League Soccer record for goals in a season of Josef Martinez.
Ex-Arsenal ahead Vela started the match level with the Martinez, that enrolled 31 goals to win the MLS Golden Boot season of Orlando City.
He broke the record in the 28th minute and included his second two minutes later.
Vela took his tally in the second half to 34 early.
