The St. Louis Blues return home following a four-game road trip. It was a effort for the Blues, as they won the first-half of the trip with wins over Senators and the Maple Leafs. However, things turned sour with losses at Long and Montreal Island. The Blues got just a little too comfortable on the road instead of playing their regular game.
A 6-3 loss to the Canadiens is not their match. While Jordan Binnington had a rare off game with 5 goals allowed, the Blues allowed 37 shots. Hes a much better goaltender than this, but you wouldnt have known it.
They looked similar to themselves against the Islanders in a 3-2 defeat. This seemed more like a Blues game and was a much better effort. They were on the losing side after failing to get a dip their way. The Blues will be happy to return home where theyll be for another four matches. St. Louis will probably be home five of the next seven matches in October. Following their date with the Canucks on Thursday, theyll do it vs the Canadiens on Saturday night.
Their opponents this evening, the Vancouver Canucks, are all on the heels of an impressive three-game homestand against the Kings. Yeah, I understand, that isnt the trio of teams, therefore the Canucks will find a measuring stick on tonight. Not one of the teams are expected to be in the playoffs. The Blues will be the defending champs and are at home in their barn.
The Blues lived the Canucks 3-2, in a shootout, at their most recent conflict in April. St. Louis would be the aggressors using 36 shots to 25, but had extra time and then a shootout to get it done. Thatcher Demko has been between the pipes afterward and is anticipated to be in the office tonight. Head under for our free Canucks vs. Blues select.
The Canucks cant expect to see the same Blues team which the Canadiens and also Islanders played. St. Louis are capable of a great deal more than we watched out of them in those two outings. During lengthy excursions on the street, it can be difficult to stay concentrated and the attempt is there. I believe that the Blues did not take Islanders or even the Canadiens too seriously and fell asleep. Whatever the instance, the Blues picked up 5 points in four different matches, so it wasnt a loss about them by any means. Were just not used to seeing that the Blues lose 6-3 games.
Their attempt on the road proved to be a separate story Even though Vancouver were sharp in the home. The season opened on the street. They lost a 3-2 decision to the Oilers and got blanked by a score of 3-0 at Calgary. Red Wings isnt going to impress too a lot of individuals, although their tune changed back into Vancouver, but again, beating against the Kings, Flyers. Beat the Blues on the street tonight along with the Canucks will garner any attention. The Canucks could squeak into the playoffs if things go according to plan.
The Blues would be the opposite of the Canucks, before going on a four-game road excursion as they began. They were downed in overtime however, snapped back in their second excursion for a 3-2 triumph over the Stars. Following two under average performances on the street, start looking for the Blues to fire with a far better effort back in St. Louis.
The Canucks are still an awful Though the Canucks took good care of business against poor opponents in their past three games. Note they are 4-18 within their past 22 games as an underdog. St. Louis are better from the head-to-head contrast, with a record of 9-3 in their last 12 meetings. Think about a bet on the Blues to win in law about the 60 minutes .
